Sapphic Love | A Queer Tarot Collection
Hope. Healing. Renewal. Inspiration.
Quiet, introspective and filled with possibility, The Star represents the light that remains after everything else has fallen apart.
Associated with Aquarius, The Star symbolizes hope, renewal, emotional healing and rediscovering faith in ourselves and the future. Following the destruction of The Tower, this card represents the moment when the chaos begins to settle and we slowly find our way back to ourselves.
It's about learning to trust again, embracing vulnerability and recognizing that healing doesn't happen all at once. Sometimes, simply finding the strength to keep moving forward is enough.
The illustration features a solitary sapphic figure seated beside the water beneath a brilliant red and white star. She pours water from two vessels, representing the balance between our inner emotional world and the world around us. The surrounding mountains, still water and celestial elements create a sense of solitude, reflection and quiet transformation.
The bold contrast of black, white and deep burgundy reflects the relationship between darkness and light, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, there is still something worth reaching for.
The Star reminds us that healing isn't about forgetting what happened. It's about finding hope in what comes next.
Inspired by traditional tattoo art, linocut illustration and tarot symbolism, this piece combines bold graphic elements with a softer, more reflective message.
Part of Sapphic Love, an original queer tarot-inspired art collection celebrating identity, connection, transformation and the beautifully complicated nature of being human.
